What kind of design drawing do we need for metal stamping parts fabrication
Most of the customers have the design drawings for the metal stamping parts they want to outsource.
The most accurate drawing is 2D drawing in PDF format or CAD format. In case of intricate parts, 2D drawing may not suffice and 3D drawing is needed for reference. However, 2D drawings with dimensions, tolerances and remarks are always the basis for design, production and acceptance.
It is important to mutually agree which drawing is the formal basis in case there is more than one format. And it is more important to mutually agree in written if any revise is made.
